by American Arbitration Association and its international division, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution
30 August 2024, Friday
14:30 - 16:30
AAA-ICDR Asia Case Management Centre

Join the American Arbitration Association and its international division, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, for a thought-provoking event where experts will debate the transformative concepts proposed in the AAA-ICDR’s draft mediation guidelines. This dynamic session will feature four pivotal motions that challenge traditional practices and explore the future of mediation.

The motions under discussion include:

  • This House believes that Early Assessment Mediation (EDR), involving proactive assessment discussions at the early stages of mediation, is a game-changer in dispute resolution.
  • This House believes that Hybrid Mediation/Arbitration (Mixed Mode) compromises the integrity of mediation and arbitration.
  • This House believes that it is imperative to fully embrace technology in mediation to achieve the successful resolution of disputes.
  • This House believes that incorporating Early Neutral Evaluation (ENE) will result in more effective mediation.

This event promises a riveting exchange of perspectives, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of these innovative concepts and their implications for the future of dispute resolution. Don't miss the opportunity to witness firsthand the dynamic debate that will shape the evolving landscape of mediation.
