The End Game: Exiting Cross-Border Business Relationships

by AAA-ICDR Asia Case Management Centre

26 August, Wednesday

11:00 - 13:00

Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP

Cross-border commercial relationships do not always end in dispute, but they inevitably reach a point where parties must decide how to separate. This discussion will move beyond traditional dispute resolution to examine the commercial, legal, and strategic considerations involved in unwinding long-term business relationships, whether arising from joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, strategic investments, or major construction and infrastructure projects. The panel will explore how sophisticated businesses approach exit planning, manage the period between commercial breakdown and formal termination, preserve value during separation, and utilize contractual and dispute resolution mechanisms to facilitate an effective and commercially sensible exit.
