Menu for IP Mediation – Choices and Options

by WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center

28 August, Friday

14:00 - 16:00

Maxwell Chambers, Elgin Room

This panel explores how IP and technology disputes are best mediated — not just why they suit mediation in the first place. With facilitative, evaluative and transformative approaches each shaping the process differently, the panel examines which style serves IP/technology disputants best, whether approaches can be combined, and whether parties should be able to choose their preferred style in advance. It also considers where AI might fit into the picture. Bringing together Joyce A. Tan (LVM Law Chambers), Lam Chung Nian (WongPartnership LLP) and Dr Stanley Lai, SC (Allen & Gledhill LLP), the panel shares practical insights from real IP and technology dispute experience.
